Turkey Day Macys Thanksgiving Parade

The North American Thanksgiving Day Holiday was Thursday Nov 27 2008. The “Harvest Festival”  is a time to give thanks for the harvest and life in general. The “First Thanksgiving” is believed to have occurred at Plymouth , Massachusetts in 1621.

The Boys at the History Channel have a nice website up with Thanksgiving facts and videos.

The Centerpiece of Thanksgiving Dinner is a Large Roasted Turkey with all the trimmings. The point of the meal is to reflect upon and be thankful for the things that have passed over the last year.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a 3 hour event [9am-12] held every Thanksgiving Day in New York City sponsored by Macy’s Department store.

Good Stuff. Happy Holidays.
