Iranian Woman Sentenced to Death by Stoning

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, the Iranian woman sentenced to death by stoning, told an interviewer that she was an accomplice to the murder of her husband and that she had an extramarital relationship with her husband’s cousin.

Ashtiani was allegedly tortured for two days before the interview was recorded in Tabriz prison, where she had been held for the past four years.

In the Islamic system whereby Men have the right to have 4 wives but women’s adultery is punishable by stoning.” –  Massoumeh Torfeh , Iran analyst

  1. Fate Meh

Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Mercy.

  2. I know of no male (personally) who has had sex with only 6 women in his lifetime. I seuoirsly doubt most women have only had 3 partners. As a boomer who grew up in the “make love, not war” generation, I did my best. I’m not proud of it now, but at the time it was what everyone seemed to be doing. Speak with college students about it. Co-ed dorm buildings?Giving rubbers away in middle school is really slowing things down, too.
