Stevie Ray Vaughan caught in the Crossfire

Legendary blues guitarist and 6 time Grammy winner, Stevie Ray Vaughan died 20 years ago today, in a midnight helicopter crash.

The extremely popular musician and singer is remembered by his passionate fans for his world famous SRV battered Fender Stratocaster guitar, which Vaughan referred to as ” Number One ” or ” first wife.”

With blues band Double Trouble,  Stevie Ray Vaughan created hits like  ” Crossfire” , “Pride and Joy” , “Love Struck” and others.

Rolling Stone magazine honored Stevie Ray Vaughan as one of the Top 100 Guitarists of all time. And a statue of him was built in 1994 at Austin, Texas.

Stevie Ray Vaughan was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2000.
