Alberto Contador Guilty Doping Banned 2 Years

3 time Tour de France Champion Alberto Contador has been found guilty of doping and banned for 2 Years from professional cycling.

Alberto Contador failed a doping test, testing positive for clenbuterol, while winning the 2010 Tour de France 566 days ago and now his arbitration appeal has failed also.

The Spanish cyclist and national hero was stripped of his title Monday and banned for two years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code.

There are no winners when it comes to the issue of doping but Luxembourg’s Andy Schleck is now in line to receive Contador’s 2010 Tour de France title.

Holland return home from World Cup to hero’s welcome

The Netherlands world cup team returned home to a hero’s welcome on a boat parade. 600,000 Oranje fans lined the canals of Amsterdam and welcomed the second-place Champions as the Winners Holland truly are.  

Clearly Holland is the best team to have never won the World Cup. Do some research on 1974 , 1978 and 2010. Unbelievably, heart breaking.

The Netherlands players first went to a private reception with the Dutch PM and Queen Beatrix in The Hague. There the coach [manager] Bert van Marwijk and team captain Giovanni van Bronckhorst were officially knighted.

Then they were helicoptered to Amsterdam where two thirds of a million Dutch people lined the canals to celebrate the Holland national team’s boat parade.

Just a heart breaking loss for Holland and the Oranje fans. Both teams had their chances and both sides had terrific goal keeping.

In the end it came down to bad calls by the english ref, who was just following orders and the script given him by FIFA for an Espana win.

This is worse than wrestling. Worse than the infamous mafia death threat to the French goalkeeper in 2006.

These scripted World Cup Finals really ruin the game by turning a beautiful game ugly. Hey, who said life was fair?

Ref 1 Spain 0  Holland 0 As Maradona says ” One Bad Play and You Go Home. ”

I guess somebody has to win, so congratulations Spain [Espana]. Your style of play, though not popular worldwide, won out.

All final four teams were championship material. And Brazil [Brasil] is clearly the team to beat at home in 2014, FIFA permitting.
