World Peace Suspended

World Peace suspended. LA Laker forward Metta World Peace aka Ron Artest was ejected from an NBA game with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

After wildly elbowing James Harden to the head, the Artest formerly known as Ron will be suspended from the National Basketball Association.

You can take the malice out of the Palace. You can change your name to World Peace.

This could be the end of the NBA line for the Artest formerly known as Ron.

World Peace? Big-time suspension coming for Metta World War.

Kentucky 2012 National Champions

Kentucky Wildcats Basketball program at 38-2 are the 2012 College National Champions after defeating Kansas 67 to 59 in New Orleans last night.

While the Jayhawks big man totally shut down and exposed Anthony Davis offensively, the UK MVP shined on defense in blocking shots, steals, rebounds and overall hustle.

The Kentucky guards lit it up from outside. Offense gets the glory. Defense wins the game.

Kentucky was in control most of the way but Kansas mounted a late rally. The lead would have been cut to 3 but a fatal mistake bunny hop, double dribble negated a 3 pointer that swished through nothing but net.

It may be One & Done for UK though as all 5 of Kentucky’s starters, 2 freshmen and 3 sophomores, could be selected in the early rounds of the NBA draft in June.

Time will tell. Congratulations Kentucky. Go Blue.

NCAA 2012 Final Four Kentucky

2012 NCAA college basketball March Madness Final Four brackets has top seeded Kentucky, Ohio St, Kansas and Louisville headed to New Orleans.

Kentucky shot lights out to beat Baylor. Ohio St. beat a good Syracuse team. Kansas beat a very good but injured North Carolina and Louisville advanced after an epic Florida choke late in their game.

Anthony Davis and the Kentucky Wildcats offense should be too much for top defensive team and state rival, Louisville.

The other game between two of the best teams in 2012, Kansas and Ohio St. looks like a war and could go either way. Kansas won an earlier meeting this season.

Las Vegas line has Ohio St. a 3 point favorite. Kentucky at -9  will have to win by double digits to cover their number.

#15 Lehigh Beats #2 Duke

#15 Lehigh University beat #2 Duke in one of the greatest upsets in NCAA March Madness history especially since the game was played in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The coach of Lehigh said it best: “ The only thing that really mattered is we had confidence and belief in ourselves.” – Brett Reed

CJ McCollum, the Patriot League player of the year, was unstoppable driving the lane at will. McCollum scored 30 points and the Mountain Hawks of Lehigh University stunned the Duke Blue Devils.

Lehigh came in confident, playing like they had nothing to lose. The pressure was on Duke and it showed.

“ They had the best player on the court tonight, McCollum. He’s really one of the outstanding players in the country and you could see why tonight.

I’ve been in this game for 37 years and it takes you to incredible highs. It also takes you to incredible lows. Tonight’s one of those lows.” – Mike Krzyzewski

#15 Norfolk St. Shocks #2 Missouri

#15 Norfolk St. shocked #2 Missouri 86-84 in the 2012 NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament. Size matters.

The Spartans of Norfolk State beat the Missouri Tigers fair and square to advance on in the 2012 NCAA tournament.

Norfolk St. hit clutch shots and answered Missouri all game long.

Spartans 6’10” center Kyle O’Quinn scored 26 points and had 14 rebounds in a stellar performance.

Missouri’s lack of size and rebounders caught up with them in the NCAA tournament.
