L.A. the new Kings of NHL Hockey won the 2012 Stanley Cup tonight completing a dream playoff run and season for Conn Smythe MVP Trophy winning goalie Johnathan Quick.
The LA Kings need to lock up a long term contract with Quick who has one year remaining. Check out his performance:
1.49 GA in the playoffs – NHL Record
10 consecutive playoff road games – NHL Record
16-4 Playoffs won-loss – Tied NHL Record
Won first three games of all four playoff series.
Most playoff shutouts one season in NHL history.
For the first time, after waiting 45 years, the LA Kings have won the Stanley Cup. They’re young enough, big and fast enough to do it again.
Los Angeles Kings became the first NHL eighth seed to win a title and they did so by winning a record 10 straight road games.
The city of LA has another champion sports franchise. The NHL has the Figueroa Street Bullies.
Congratulations to the whole LA Kings team and the professionalism of coach Darryl Sutter. Hermosa Beach, California will be rocking tonight.
Sell in May and go away, the popular and profitable Wall St stock market trading strategy, looks better than ever in 2012.
With the DJIA above 13,200 and the uncertainty with the European Union it appears the time is now to close out your position. Stocks certainly appear overvalued here.
Now may be the time to form your corporation, start a business or company providing that needed product or service.
Add in $16,000,000,000,000 of USA debt and the real unemployment number closer to 20% in America.
I’m advising my clients to take the money and run. We had a great 3 year run.
Buying in November and selling in April has historically worked best in the stock market.
Edvard Munch 1895 painting The Scream sold for a world record $107 Million when Tobias Meyer dropped the hammer at Sotheby’s New York.
The final selling price was $119,922,500 when including the 12% premium paid to Sotheby’s, and is the highest price ever paid for a work of art sold at auction.
The global art market is alive and well as billionaires need a place to invest fiat paper money
The Scream was inspired by Munch in 1892 when he was walking beside an Oslo, Norway fjord and he sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.
Edvard Munch was so inspired he painted four different The Scream’s. This Petter Olsen owned version is the only one available for sale.
Junior Seau dead at 43. The 12 time NFL Pro Bowler was found shot to death in his Oceanside, California home.
JR Seau was a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team and played professional football at the highest level from 1990 to 2010.
The San Diego native was an All-American linebacker with USC before taking his talents to the San Diego Chargers, drafted 5th overall in the 1990 NFL Draft.
Police are investigating the cause of death – which is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot to the chest. Fast and Furious program Say Ow.
RIP. Junior Seau dead, way before his time, at 43.
How is it possible the winningest quarterback in Division 1 college football history was not selected in the 2012 NFL draft?
Kellen Moore was a Heisman finalist in 2010 and the only QB to win 50 games. Moore completed 70% of his passes and finished his career with a QB rating of 169.
As proven by Tom Brady back in 2000, a late 6th round selection at #199 overall, the NFL draft is not an exact science.
Kellen Moore, all he does is win.
Apparently, the NFL doesn’t have a combine drill to measure heart, smarts or the will to win.
Kentucky Wildcats Basketball program at 38-2 are the 2012 College National Champions after defeating Kansas 67 to 59 in New Orleans last night.
While the Jayhawks big man totally shut down and exposed Anthony Davis offensively, the UK MVP shined on defense in blocking shots, steals, rebounds and overall hustle.
The Kentucky guards lit it up from outside. Offense gets the glory. Defense wins the game.
Kentucky was in control most of the way but Kansas mounted a late rally. The lead would have been cut to 3 but a fatal mistake bunny hop, double dribble negated a 3 pointer that swished through nothing but net.
It may be One & Done for UK though as all 5 of Kentucky’s starters, 2 freshmen and 3 sophomores, could be selected in the early rounds of the NBA draft in June.
Time will tell. Congratulations Kentucky. Go Blue.

Americans spent $1.5 Billion for a chance at striking it rich with a $462 million lump sum or $347 million after federal tax withholding, based on a single winner.
There were 3 winners who will have to share the lifechanging prize. Winners may receive either a one-time payment of their share or 26 annual installment payments.
Congratulations to the lucky 3 who beat the astronomical jackpot odds of 176 million to 1. The great equalizer was the sheer number of 1,500,000,000 tickets sold.
Record Mega Millions numbers: 2-4-23-38-46, MB 23. I don’t always play lottery but when I do, I prefer winning. Stay positive my friends.
