Great pickup at #25 by the Patriots with Dont’a Hightower. Well played by the Rams at #14 Michael Brockers plus two #1 picks.

96 Million Dollar Man

Peyton Manning is the 96 Million Dollar Man after signing a 5 year contract to play QB for the Denver Broncos.

Well played, sir. Peyton Manning has been an NFL Most Valuable Player a record four times.

Tebow trade rumors have begun. Is Tim Tebow headed to the Jets?

Manning did not play during the 2011 season after having 4 neck surgeries which ending his 14 year run with the Indianapolis Colts.

Peyton Manning will get $18,000,000 guaranteed for 2012 but must pass a physical before each following season to get paid.

“ This is truly a special football environment and I’m glad to be a part of it.” – Peyton Manning, 96 Million Dollar Man

Las Vegas Loses when the NY Giants Win

Oddsmakers in Las Vegas sports books are rooting for the New England Patriots to win SuperBowl 46 on Sunday February 5, 2012.

The reason why?  Money, of course.

Nevada sports books took significant futures bet action on the New York Giants to win the Super Bowl at long odds.

Odds as high as 80 to 1 have some sports books sweating their exposure to financial losses on Super Sunday.

One game away from a winning nickel bet on the G-men returning $40,500. How about a dime for $81,000?

The only thing worse for the books would have been a Denver Broncos win at 5000-1 where a simple $200 wager would have returned a cool $1,000,000.

SF 49ers Fumble away 2012 NFC Championship NY Giants Win

SF 49ers Kyle Williams, filling in for Ted Ginn Jr., fumbled the game away in the NFL 2012 NFC Championship Game.

The calls seemed to go against the 49ers Sunday making it an especially tough loss, with a trip to the NFL Super Bowl on the line.

On any given Sunday, one play here or there, is the difference between winning and losing – between living and dying.

Congratulations to the NY Giants. To the Victor goes the Super Bowl spoils.

The New York Giants are the 2012 NFC Champions after a hard fought victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

The NFL playoffs are done. All thats left is a SuperBowl rematch of the G-men vs the Pats on Feb 5.

The Vegas Super Bowl line is up already. Pats -3, Total 55.5 I’m betting Giants ML +140. Who else wants to make 140% interest?

On this team, we fight for that inch.

2012 AFC Champion New England Patriots Survive Ravens 4Q Blunders

In the 22 of 36 Bowl, more commonly called the 2012 AFC Championship Game, the New England Patriots survive a 4th Quarter scare by the Baltimore Ravens.

Both Quarterbacks were 22 of 36 passing on the day and Raven QB Joe Flacco had better stats than QB Tom Brady but it is the Pats who advance to the Super Bowl.

4th quarter Raven blunders included the likely game-winning dropped touchdown in the endzone with seconds left in the game.

And who can forget the botched field goal by ultra-reliable kicker William “Billy” Cundiff.

Though the Ravens had fewer turnovers, held the ball longer, outpassed and outran the Patriots they failed in the most important category of all, outscoring the opponent.

When it mattered most, zero fourth quarter points scored send the Baltimore Ravens and Ray Lewis home on a mad plane ride.

Scoreboard, baby.

Steven Tyler Messes Up National Anthem

Steven Tyler messes up singing the National Anthem prior to the New England Patriots – Baltimore Ravens NFL playoff 2012 AFC Championship game in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

As shown on CBS. Bombs bursting in Air. Timing’s everything.

Nice US Air Force Flyover the stadium too. Aim High.

Injuries and NY Giants do in Packers

One and Done for the Green Bay Packers. It is the New York  Giants who advance to the NFC Championship game at the SF 49ers.

The NY Giants made the 15-1 Packers look very average.

If you don’t believe a healthy offensive line or key injuries are important, ask the Pittsburgh Steelers.

All praise and glory to the “all-in” winning G-men. Eli Manning led the only visiting team to win in this NFL playoffs.

It takes a lot to get coach Tom Coughlin to smile. On Sunday the NY Giants did it.

Baltimore Ravens win Raven way Defense

The Baltimore Ravens won the Raven way 20-13, on Defense. Their AFC playoff win gave them a perfect Home record this season at 9-0.

Baltimore won their first home playoff game since 2000 and improved the Ravens to a perfect 6-0 all-time against Houston.

It was a good weekend to be named Harbaugh.

This was the first time since the NFL went to its current playoff format in 1990, that the first 7 games have been won by the home team.

QB Joe Flacco had 3 TD throws and nows it’s on the road to New England where the Top 2 AFC seeds battle it out for a Super Bowl appearance.

Offense gets the glory – Defense wins the game. Ask Ray Lewis.
