Letterman will need a Top Nine list tonight for the 9 girl Korea pop band from Seoul. Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Jessica, Seohyun, Sunny, Tiffany, Yoona, Yuri and Sooyoung are Girls’ Generation.

Girls’ Generation is a nine-member South Korean pop girl group formed in 2007. They are also referred to as SoShi, 소시 or SNSD by their fans in Korea.
Girls’ Generation is currently the top Korean girl band and the group has released three Korean full albums, 3 mini-albums, 1 Japanese full album and various singles.
Their 2009 hit single Gee holds the record for being the longest running #1 song on KBS Music Bank for 9 consecutive weeks.
Korean music site Melon named Gee the song of the decade.
In 2011 Girls’ Generation became the only girl group in history to receive Artist of the Year awards for Seoul Music Awards and Melon Music Awards for two consecutive years.
