Did Penn State Board of Trustees Kill Coach Joe Paterno Dead at 85?

The winningest college football coach of all time, Joe Paterno died today at 85.

JoePa suffered in his final 2 months on Earth from lung cancer, broken bones and more importantly a broken heart, once his good name, college and football life was abruptly taken from him.

Not fired but killed by the board of trustees. How well will the Penn State Board of Trustees sleep tonight?

Honor, ethics and education.

“ I feel that the board made a bad decision in letting Joe Paterno go. I’m very disappointed in their decision.

I thought they showed no courage, not to back someone who really needed it at the time.” – Franco Harris

RIP great football coach. Joe Paterno made Penn State a better place.

West Virginia 70-33 demolition of Clemson 2012 Orange Bowl

QB Geno Smith tied the all-time NCAA College Football Bowl record with six touchdown passes in the 2012 Orange Bowl.

West Virginia also set a new all-time Bowl scoring record by a team with 70 points.

Clemson became the first higher seeded top 25 team to lose in this years entire bowl slate.

The disastrous 2nd quarter sank the Tigers ship after handing West Va. 3 gift touchdowns on a silver platter.

West Virginia. Mountain Mama. Take me home. Country Road.

Va Tech beats itself then robbed by official in Sugar Bowl

Va Tech was twice as good as Michigan in last nights Sugar Bowl. Twice as many first downs, twice as many total yards, twice as many touchdown chances.

And of course twice as many missed opportunities, field goals and mistakes, none more crucial than an inexplicable fake punt late in the 4th quarter.

Yet after all the comedy of errors in regulation time, just when victory was in reach with a certain touchdown catch and reception in overtime, the replay official unbelievably robbed Virginia Tech of the 2012 Sugar Bowl.

There was no doubt WR Danny Coale maintained control 100% throughout the entire winning catch in the endzone.

Sometimes the best team doesn’t win on the scoreboard. Congrats Michigan Wolverines, you played the system.

The horror for the fans of Virginia Tech University. The horror for the bettors in Las Vegas on the wrong side of a half point. The horror.

Auburn Undefeated 2011 BCS National Champions

War Eagle! Heisman trophy winner QB Cam Newton and the Auburn Tigers are the undefeated, undisputed 2011 BCS college football champions after defeating a game Oregon 22-19.

On the exciting game’s final possession, Auburn led by Michael Dyer drove 73 yards to the Oregon 1 yard line where Wes Byrum kicked the game winning 19 yard FG, as time expired, for the 22-19 victory.

Auburn had 519 yards of total offense.

In losing, Oregon played its best overall game of the year, but was a cut below the beast from the SEC.

ESPN picked a great time for the first BCS National Championship Game not televised on network television. A ratings bonanza.

A perfect 14-0 season for the 2011 BCS College Football Champions Auburn Tigers. War Eagle!
