Hall of Famer Gary Carter Dead at 57

Major League Baseball Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter has died of brain cancer at only 57 years old.

Gary Carter #8 ranks among the most beloved players in the history of both the Montreal Expo’s and the New York Mets.

Gary Carter began as an outfielder but became one of the elite catchers of all-time in professional baseball.

Driven by an amazing¬†enthusiasm for the game, MVP Gary Carter won a MLB World Series in 1986 with the National League’s New York Mets.

Major League Baseball has lost one of its greatest ambassadors, far too early.
