Steven Slater, the gay jetBlue flight attendant who became a media sensation after his mad as hell – not going to take it anymore stunt, is free on bail but grounded.
He still faces charges of criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and trespassing. Folk hero – Not.
The disgruntled 38 year old beer-drinking flight attendant of 20 years cursed out an entire aircraft over the plane’s intercom, grabbed two beers and exited his plane by deploying the emergency slide chute at JFK airport.
The cost to replace the chute is more than $25,000 and jetBlue will also lose tens of thousands of dollars more while the jet is out of service for repairs.
Steven Slater’s antics, which really struck a chord with wage slaves, will also cost him his low-paying airline job but there are no doubt high-paying book, tv and movie deals already in the works.
