Oddsmakers in Las Vegas sports books are rooting for the New England Patriots to win SuperBowl 46 on Sunday February 5, 2012.
The reason why? Money, of course.
Nevada sports books took significant futures bet action on the New York Giants to win the Super Bowl at long odds.
Odds as high as 80 to 1 have some sports books sweating their exposure to financial losses on Super Sunday.
One game away from a winning nickel bet on the G-men returning $40,500. How about a dime for $81,000?
The only thing worse for the books would have been a Denver Broncos win at 5000-1 where a simple $200 wager would have returned a cool $1,000,000.
