9 year old Lin Miaoke became a celebrity in China after she “LIP SYNCHED” Ode to the Motherland in front of 91,000 people and a television audience of over one billion
The real voice belonged to 7 year old Yang Peiyi, who was deemed not attractive enough to go on stage by China’s ruling Communist party.
According to the Olympic Charter, established by Pierre de Coubertin in 1894, the goal of the Olympic Movement is to contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practiced without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.
